The starter fertilizer (base fertilizer) for the cherry tomatoes is 1 liter (1 qt) of cow manure and 50g (1.8 oz) of chicken manure. (Cow manure and chicken manure are best fertilizer for cherry tomato.)
This cherry tomato plant is grown through pesticide-free organic farming, so organic compost and fertilizers are used.
The best time to plant summer vegetables like cherry tomatoes and eggplants is from late April to early May. For summer vegetables grown from seedlings and planted outdoors, it’s good to remember to plant them at this time.

About a month after planting the cherry tomato. In late May, I set up two stakes in the cherry tomato plot. I also pruned the suckers of the cherry tomatoes. (Cherry tomato plant care, staking and pinch off the suckers.)
This year for growing cherry tomatoes, I’ve only done pruning (removing unnecessary suckers) and tying the stems to stakes with twine. The need for extra fertilizer (side dressing) changes each year, but this year, I didn’t use any. Still, the tomatoes are growing pretty well.

When to harvest the cherry tomatoes? Cherry tomatoes are ready to harvest when they turn red. Pick them one by one as they change color. (The sign for harvesting cherry tomatoes is when they are fully red, and the stem is curled back.)
The cherry tomato harvest is still ahead. This year, with little rain and lots of sunshine, I have a feeling it will be a good harvest.
