During planting, I had set up thin stakes to support the tomato, but now that the tomato plant has grown larger, I am replacing the thin stake with thicker stake. (Best method for staking tomato plants.)

Tomato stake with a diameter of 2cm (0.8 in) and a length of 210cm (7 ft) will be used. (Long tomato stake.) Tomato is grown using a method called “single stem (single stake)" where the central main stem is extended, so only one support stake is used.
The position to set up the tomato stake is outside the hole in the mulch. (To avoid damaging the tomato roots, keep it a bit away from the base.)
Ways to stake tomato plants, first, push the stake into the ground by hands. It’s okay if the stake goes into the ground about 25cm (10 inches) deep. If the soil is too compact and the stake doesn’t go in easily, just push it in as far as it will go for now.
Then, use a hammer to drive the stake in an additional 10cm (4 inches).
When driving in a long tomato stake, having a stepping stool makes it easier.
A point to note is not to drive the stake in too deeply. If you drive it in too deeply, it might become difficult to remove when cleaning up.
Once the thick tomato stake is driven in, remove the thin stake and replace the hemp twine as well.
When replacing the twine, it’s good to bring the tomato stem towards the stake. (Be careful not to break the stem.)
