White eggplant plant care (Additional fertilizing for white eggplants in harvest season)
Growing white eggplant in field cultivation. This time, I will deal with white eggplant care. The white eggplants in harvest season are growing well. With the increase in harvest quantity, we are applying additional fertilizing to replenish the nutrients. (Since the last white eggplant additional fertilizing was done in early July, approximately three weeks have passed at this point.)
We began full-fledged harvesting of white eggplants around early July.
Additional fertilizing for eggplants (Apply chicken manure as fertilizing to the white eggplants)
The fertilization spots are 2 locations, just below the white eggplant bed.
For additional fertilizing, organic fertilizer made from chicken manure is used. The amount of additional fertilizing is about 15cc (1/2 oz) of chicken manure per spot. Chicken manure is recommended as a fertilizer for eggplants because it contains a balanced mix of nutrients essential for their growth.
Lift the mulch of the eggplant bed, dig a hole about 10cm (3.9 inch) deep using a trowel.
Once you’ve dug the holes, place the chicken manure for fertilization in it. For each hole, about 15cc (1/2 oz) of chicken manure is added, so a total of approximately 30cc (1 oz) is placed in two holes.
After fertilizing the white eggplants, water the chicken manure. Moistening the chicken manure is because it aids in the easier decomposition by microorganisms.
Cover the fertilized chicken manure with soil, put back the mulch over the fertilized area. If the fertilizer isn’t properly covered, pests can be attracted by the odor and come near. After applying fertilizing to the white eggplants, if pests like aphids come around, it’s pointless, so make sure to cover the soil after fertilization.
With this, the additional fertilizing for the white eggplants is complete.
